In 2nd grade, my teacher, Mrs. Metcalf, assigned us a project called "Children as Teachers" where my classmates and I each got 20 minutes to teach about the topic of our choice. Being the color-lover that I am, of course I chose to teach my fellow 7 year old friends all about rainbows!

My Weekend in Photographs

This weekend one of my best friends from college came to visit New York. She and her husband own a beautiful home in Maine, so I was a little nervous about her reaction to the junior one-bedroom 3rd floor wonder that I share with Anel. She loved the apartment, we had a great time, and we showed her how to live it up, Manhattan-style.

Before & After: Cora’s Edition

My good friend Cora of Sexy Soul Wellness came to me with a dilemma. She already knew that she was beautiful, confident, and sexy, but her clothes didn't show it. She hated going shopping (what?), so I gladly offered to help by guiding her to hone in on the image of herself that she wanted to portray (we came up with: sexy, feminine, and bright), and by taking her on a shopping spree.

Unexpected Color Combinations

I'm always looking for ways to add unexpected pops of color into our apartment. Yesterday, Anel and I painted a huge slab of wood in glossy bright yellow paint to create a new shelf/counter in our tiny Manhattan kitchen. We had some leftover paint so I asked him to paint my closet door the same color.

A Walk in the Park

This summer I can't stop pairing bold solid colors against each other. Last week it was pink, orange, and turquoise, and this week it is navy, yellow, and peach. These seemingly strange combos add a surprising punch to your outfit.
