I had a great weekend that included lots of citrus, fancy cocktails at a rooftop bar, a pool party, and a pretty decent tan-line. My only complaint is that it only lasted for only 2 days. Here it is, in photos!
Happy Father's Day! Here's a reminder to tell your dad and grandfathers just how much you love them. Think about all of the life lessons that they have taught you over the years. Thank you, Dad, for teaching me everything including how to ride a bicycle, how to make the perfect mix-tape, how to always be right, how to always be the best-dressed person in the room, and the importance of family.
This week I am super excited to be a part of Pretty Shiny Sparkly's Bloggers Do it Better Assignment. The challenge was to pair neon with neutrals and make it my own look. I have plenty of neon in my wardrobe but actually had a hard time finding something in a neutral color except for this ultra-sparkly J.Crew tank top.
I am leaving for Paris exactly 3 weeks from today and couldn't be more excited! I'm already fantasizing about the markets full of olive oil, wine, bread, chocolate, and crepes, dreaming of strolling down the Champs Elysee, stopping at Larudee for some sweet and colorful macaroons. I can't wait to get that feeling that only the Eiffel Tower, sparkling at night, can give me.
It seems like every farmer's market this side of the Mississippi is filled with booth after booth selling homemade pickles. I began to think, "If all of these farmers can do it, why can't I?". I can. And I did. In a big way. This is the second time I've made this recipe, and now I can't imagine a barbecue without them!
