Stripe City

If I had to pick one pattern to live in, wear, and stare at for the rest of my life it would be stripes. I live for striped walls, carpets, shirts, skirts, shorts, bathing suits, towels, sheets....this list could go on forever. Here are my current favorite ways to use stripes!

My Weekend in Photographs

I had a wonderfully relaxing 4-day weekend which started with bike rides, old friends, my favorite watermelon salad and a Farmer's Market in my hometown of Hanover, NH and ended with playing a tourist in my own city with my cousin Anna. We ate incredible scallion, sesame, and slaw organic beef hot dogs and nutella crepes at the Madison Square Park Food Market before climbing the Empire State Building for my very first time!

Keepin’ Cool, Lookin’ Hot

A heat-wave finally hit New York. Yesterday, the rains cleared, the sun shone, and the humidity...humidified. The only thing that I felt comfortable in was a loose and flowy J.Crew maxi dress. Long dresses are perfect for hot summer days because they keep you cool but you look elegant and stylish. Pair it with a big belt and gladiators or a statement necklace and gold sandals and you're good to go!

Summer’s Here

Memorial Day, in my mind, marks the start of summer which means the first of many beach weekends, bike-rides, picnics, corn on the cob, and watermelon. This weekend we hiked, biked, ran, and laid out in the sunshine. It was the perfect 4-day vacation. More photos to come later this week of the farmer's market, watermelon salad, and cookie sandwiches.
