Greeña Colada Smoothie

greenacolada

It’s been a while since I’ve posted one of my famous green smoothie recipes so I figured it was about that time again. This “greeña colada” (seriously, I’m so witty) is my new go-to breakfast. It’s sweet, it’s tasty, it’s healthy, it transports you to a tropical island, AND it’s fun to call it a greeña colada.

If you like the looks-a-this, you should definitely join the 5 day spring detox cleanse that I’m leading with Arielle next week. Not only will we healthify your life, but we’ll help you with your spring cleaning at home. If there’s one thing I’m good at, it’s helping people clean their houses and closets so you don’t want to miss that. Pretty good deal, right? You can sign up here.

Note: If you don’t have coconut butter on hand (most people don’t), you can do the same recipe but with coconut oil.

Ingredients:
-3/4 cup almond or coconut milk
-1/2 banana
-Small handful of frozen pineapple chunks
-2 large handfuls of spinach or kale (you can hardly taste it, I swear!)
-1 spoonful of coconut butter (this will change your life)

Directions:
-Blend
-Enjoy!

Hi Leslie! Coconut butter is less oily and more solid than coconut oil. It has the texture of a nut butter rather than an oil. You can definitely substitute oil for the butter. Either one works!
