Before we moved out of the city last year, I worked with one of my favorite brands, Calypso St. Barth, to bring you a Meatpacking District Neighborhood Guide. This summer, we teamed up again to give you a peek into this summer’s hottest hotspot at the very tip of Long Island: Montauk, NY.
Montauk Neighborhood Guide:
– Montauk Yacht Club for a nautical atmosphere
– Gurney’s Resort and Seawater Spa Beach Club for a chic day at the beach
– La Brisa Tacombi for fish tacos and cocktails
– Montauk Point Lighthouse for some good old-fashioned sightseeing + selfies
– Navy Beach to watch the sunset
Montauk Yacht Club:
The Montauk Yacht Club is covered in navy and white stripes. I was pretty much in heaven as soon as I saw the décor that the Montauk Yacht Club is known for. Their restaurant, Hurricane Alley, serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks and overlooks the pool. It’s easy to check in and never leave the resort all weekend long.
When we checked in, I fit right in with my Calypso St. Barth striped linen sweater and white shorts!
Gurney’s Beach Club:
Gurney’s Resort and Seawater Spa is the hottest new hotel in the Hamptons and maybe the entire East Coast this season. Every blogger and celebrity seems to be flocking to its secluded location to eat at Scarpetta Beach, stay in a fabulous room, and most often, lounge at “The Beach Club”, one of the the chicest beach experiences I’ve ever had. To reserve a day bed, it’s a $1500 minimum so I want to give a special thank you to my friends at Gurney’s for sparing me that expense!
On Saturday at Gurney’s, we lounged on our luxurious striped beach bed, splashed in the clear blue ocean, lunched on lobster rolls, and sipped on mojitos. It was definitely one of my summer highlights! I had to look as chic as our surroundings so I turned this Calypso kimono jacket into a cover up for the day.

La Brisa Tacombi:
It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with tacos, especially of the seafood variety. I could eat them everyday and never get sick of them. When I heard that one of my favorite taco joints in the city, Tacombi, opened a sister restaurant, La Brisa, in downtown Montauk, I knew we would have to try it. Sitting among the colorful Mexican-inspired decor, you can’t help but smile.
We tried every taco on the menu but the crispy fish tacos were our absolute favorite. I also highly recommend the Mezcal Mule, a smokey ginger cocktail that’s equally refreshing and unique.
For our early colorful Mexican dinner, I wore this embroidered lace-up dress, seemingly made for the occasion.
Montauk Point Lighthouse:
When we travel, we tend to always checkout the cheesy tourist thing. In Montauk, nothing is cheesy and the Montauk Point Lighthouse is less tourist trap and more a spot for a lovely pre-dinner stroll with your toes in the sand.
I outfit repeated this striped linen sweater with ripped denim shorts as the day cooled down by the water.
Navy Beach:

Navy Beach is a popular location for dinner but I love it even more for the amazing summer sunsets with its West-facing views. After dinner one night, we walked the beach waiting for the sun to set and light up the sky in cotton candy pinks and blues. I repurposed my kimono cover up over a tight white tank top and cut offs for a more bohemian feel.
You (and the scenery) look absolutely gorgeous!
