Topshop dress, Milly bag (on sale!), similar vest, Topshop flats
When I was growing up, my family would make yearly trips to New York City. Being from a small town in New Hampshire, I felt pretty cool heading into the big city. We would always hit up a Yankee game, Broadway play, and tea at the Plaza. We always stayed at The Ritz Carlton Central Park which I thought was the fanciest place on earth…and still do. To this day, we come to the lobby bar for their Mediterranean martini on my dad’s birthday every year.
To be able to stay here again as an adult with my husband was incredibly special and brought back so many good memories. I had to be in the city for a few fashion week events (most of which I ended up skipping… oops!) so I thought we could make a romantic night out of it. We had a beautiful park-view room that felt oh so glamorous.
To kick off our bougie little evening, we had cocktails in the lobby bar, and swapped out our usual martinis to try the “Central Park”, a new cocktail created by their legendary bartender Norman Buzkofzer. He was apparently inspired by the hotel’s new signature scent reminiscent of the floral notes and green essence of the park across the street, also called…wait for it… Central Park. It’s made with acai vodka, Hendricks gin, and St. Germain and is the perfect mix of herbal and not-too-sweet.
We then headed to a date night at one of our favorite spots on the Upper East Side followed by movie watching in the most luxuriously comfortable bed.
Oh and I chopped off five inches of my hair and went a few shades lighter on a whim thanks to Lyndsay at Bumble and Bumble and I LOVE it! What do you think of the shorter locks? I rocked it with my new favorite striped dress (under $100!) that feels like a sweatshirt.
Thank you to The Ritz Carlton Central Park for providing us with a beautiful room!
