A few weeks ago, I shared my formal living room design with you guys. I was so excited to finally be have this room completed that I decided to have a little get together with some gal pals to celebrate. Hitha and Meghan had been talking about visiting me in the ‘burbs for a while, but they both live in the city so coming out seemed like a daunting situation. But then I promised them free rides and wine and all was well in the world…

We still have to plan our official housewarming party this spring but I loved the idea of sharing a newly decorated room with girlfriends and plan to make it a new tradition every time we finish one! My friends at Havenly tend to agree and even sent over a cute #getdecorated party kit with that gold sign above, a sparkly bottle of champagne, a gigantic bag of pink gummy bears, cute white linen cocktail napkins, and more. So fun, right?

So that my friends would have no trouble getting to said party, Uber Connecticut let me know about UberEVENTS, a new platform where you can purchase rides for your guests to and from your party. Genius, right? I told them to get on the train and then I set them up with a code to get to my house from the train station. It could not have been easier for them and I didn’t have to stress about them finding my place!

When they arrived, we popped not one not two but three bottles of rosé (oops!) and having the best night ever albeit quite a tipsy one. It ended up being one of the most fun nights last month and I hope to keep this tradition alive every time we finish a room. Such a good excuse to throw a little shindig.
