Setting a Holiday Table

It’s officially t-minus six days until Christmas you guys! I’m excited to be heading back home to New Hampshire on Sunday for the holiday. And today is my penultimate post of the year. Tomorrow I’ll be recapping my favorite posts from 2018, and then I’m taking the rest of the year off to recharge and relax with my family and friends. Man, am I excited!

But before we get to that, I’m here to share the fun little holiday table that Prudence and I put together in my kitchen after she shared her brilliant idea to use two plaid scarves instead of a tablecloth or placemats. We had to put our dining room table and chairs into storage when we turned the dining room into Amalia’s playroom, so I didn’t think a tablescape would be possible anytime soon, that that one little creative idea sparked this whole set up!

The other cutest idea ever is to tie tiny ribbons around the salt and pepper shakers. FYI I can’t find these anywhere online but if you can source them, let me know! Update: Thank you to the follower who found them on Amazon for only $12! Linked below.

We had friends over for dinner a few nights later, but I never wanted to take this down. It is just so cheerful and festive.

Looks amazing! Love your tartan napkins, I’ve been looking for some like that but the closest I’ve found is Williams-Sonoma. Where are yours from? Thanks!

Thank you! You could cluster 2-3 of these red lacquer candlesticks from Target and make a centerpiece out of that! http://bit.ly/2SZnp4p
