Organic Bedding

Boll & Branch

Like everyone else in America, I recently read Marie Kondo’s The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, and I’ve been implementing her strategies for de-cluttering and simplifying our space over the past few weeks. I have become utterly obsessed with her idea of only keeping items in your home that “spark joy”. One of the lessons I learned in this process was that I had over a dozen sets of sheets but only two of them sparked joy. I donated 10 sets and make sure to always sleep on bedding that makes me feel happy, cozy, and clean.

In the midst of tidying like a mad woman, I’ve also been making an effort to get rid of as many chemicals as I can in our home and live an even greener life. When Boll & Branch introduced me to their 100% organic bedding, I jumped on the chance to make a sustainable change in a place were I spent eight hours every night (If I’m lucky!) and re-build my sheet collection.

I loved their sheets so much that we decided to go for the duvet cover and shams, and a cozy cable knit throw that Boots took over during this shoot. Not only is everything silky soft but it’s perfectly simple in design. Because our new bedroom is pretty small, simple design was huge factor for me.

Most of my decor posts are of rooms that I’ve spent months working on and then quite a while styling for the perfect shoot. Today, I’m giving you a peek into our master bedroom while we’re still in the process of decorating it which is something fun, different, and a little more real. As I’ve mentioned before, decorating a house takes some time but there’s something about the process and the moments before each room is complete that are so special.

We’re still looking to find the perfect piece of art for above the bed and will most likely do wall to wall carpeting in the room.

I’m definitely on board with living a greener life, especially regarding the products I bring into our home. I never thought to consider organic bedding! Love the crisp and clean blue and white accents, particularly your rug!
