Before & After: Kerry’s Edition

{Kerry, after being convinced that a coral belt was awesome!}

Earlier this week, I had a shopping/styling session with Kerry. She reached out to me because she wanted to add some excitement to her work wardrobe. She owned a lot of really beautiful pieces, but wasn’t sure how to work them into an entire look. After sending me some photos of her favorite looks, I noticed that she wore a lot of gray, blue, and black. We focused much of our session on adding brightness into her outfits. A pop of color with a coral belt, a bright fuchsia top, and a brilliant blue silk button down shirt were among her purchases in that department.

We then discussed the importance of a stunning piece of jewelry. I shared with her my secret: I try to get at least one compliment on something that I’m wearing every single day. We added a sparkly and huge necklace to her shopping list as one item that will definitely bring the “You look great today!” type of comments.

At the end of the evening, I finally got Kerry excited about her purchases and what she was going to wear the next day. Today she even sent me an email that said she was wearing a purple shirt with an orange belt. At the same time! Kerry, my work here is done. You look fabulous!

{Orange pants, fuchsia top, blue belt- This was a little too much for Kerry but she looked great!}

{We spiced up her original outfit with a few sparkly baubles}

{Kerry met me in this outfit- she looks great but needed some oomph!}

    Thanks Julia, I had the best time shopping with you! The only problem is I now want to throw out ALL my old clothes and start from scratch 🙂 I’m wearing the big necklace today, it’s so fun!!! Kerry

    How about giving some advice on well priced Fall boots? Would love to find some tall boots that can worn with jeans and skirts (under $150?).
