This weekend my family was in town which is always fun and busy. We took my 3 year old brother, Jackson, to the Natural History Museum to see the dinosaurs, ate some amazing meals at The East Pole and Il Mulino, and played in the park. I also set a goal for myself this weekend to run the full 6 mile Central Park loop and I did it! Those hills at the top of the park are a crazy bitch but I powered through and only stopped once for water and a stretch.
I’m seriously considering another half marathon with Hallie . . . Will keep you guys posted on that.
New York has been gorgeous and sunny but with a slightly chilly bite in the air. Layers are the only way to survive this weather is by dressing in layers. My favorite pull on-and-off layer as of late is this blush pink Calypso St. Barth’s cashmere cardigan. It’s luxuriously soft and the shape is flattering for every figure. I am living in it during the day and also at night as a cozy coverup before bed.
Speaking of bed, we also used Task Rabbit for the first time yesterday to hire someone to paint the wall behind our bed. I loved our wallpaper (seen here) but was ready for a calmer vibe in the bedroom (Feng Shui and all that). The color we chose is a light blue called “A Breath of Fresh Air”. The name describes it pretty well. Visit my Instagram for photos and will be sharing many more here soon!
Last thought of the day is that I’m on day 2 of an Organic Avenue cleanse and I feel SO GOOD you guys. I’ve done every juice cleanse under the sun and this is always my favorite one because the juices aren’t too sweet and it changes up every day. I’m hoping I have enough energy to do a little run today after work but we’ll see.
