Greenwich

Greenwich2

Last weekend, Anel, Jess, and I took a much needed day trip out of the city to Greenwich, CT to celebrate the launch of Sail to Sable’s summer pop up shop. We spent the gorgeous day walking around downtown, doing some shopping (I got these flats on sale and this pair of wedges for an upcoming farm wedding), and enjoying an al fresco glass of wine in the sunshine at Morello.

The STS party was hosted by Sarah and Kiel who I had been looking forward to meeting for a while. They were so sweet, down to earth, and fun. It was a great day followed by a lovely date night with Anel at Elm Street Oyster House.

Spending the day there totally solidified how much we want to move to the ‘burbs. Our goal is to get moving next year and hopefully rent for one year before we buy our first home. Who knows how it will shake out but what I do know is that my entire body relaxes as soon as I leave the city, and Greenwich is top contender.

This looks like such a fun day! It is amazing how much slower life seems to move when you’re outside of the hustle and bustle of a city.

Slower and calmer! Kind of a blessing and a curse, right?

Aw! Looks like you girls (+ guys) had tons of fun. I sometimes daydream about moving to the suburbs, mostly because I miss being able to really garden & be outside a lot, but it’s not as feasible for me right now…maybe someday! I’ll have to just keep living vicariously through you 🙂

What a fun event! My boyfriend’s family is from Greenwich and all of his uncles and aunts still live there – they love it so much! I’m from a small town in the middle of CT and Greenwich is still so lively compared to where I’m from! But I can definitely see the calming nature vs the city!
