Long weekends are such a time warp. On Wednesday it seems like the next 5 days will amount to the LONGEST VACATION EVER and then all of a sudden it’s Sunday night and I’m blogging next to my Christmas tree (the third one I’ve put up in 3 days, of course).
The last few days were a blur of over-eating pies, playing in the snow with my baby brother, decorating many-a-tree, buying way too much at J.Crew (this sweater included), and one Thanksgiving late-night impromptu ice skating party.
My weekend was wonderful but I’m actually, dare I say it, excited to be back home alone with my husband in our newly decorated apartment. This was the first holiday where we’ve come home to Connecticut and not Manhattan which made a world of difference. I used to cry (not in the good way) as soon as I saw the city skyline but these days I get giddy thinking about cozying up at home with tea and a good book.
Not to mention it’s 20 degrees warmer here than it was in New Hampshire. We took these photos in my dad’s backyard on Saturday. The snow was no joke! Even Callie only lasted for one photo (scroll down).

This weekend was most definitely a whirlwind. I was in complete denial that I had an early alarm set before I dozed off last night! I love the fur hood on this coat. My pea coat seems to be lacking one 🙂

Love your cozy snow look! Aren’t Hunters the best?? I believe you when you say it was 20 degrees colder in NH! I went to college up there and the snow is serious business!!
