Happy August, everyone! I can’t believe that July flew by so quickly. I have some exciting things going right that I can’t wait to share with you (I’m not pregnant. Just sayin’). Speaking of exciting news, I’m pretty darn over-the-moon to be partnering up with Lilly Pulitzer today to bring you three looks from their latest line of perfectly printed resort-wear.
My thought going into the weekend was that I’d shoot the three looks while on vacation upstate with friends. In a twist of fate, we forgot to bring the camera and I was forced to relax and do absolutely no work all weekend (minus a minor snafu with my real-person job on Friday night).
Instead of spending an hour worrying about lighting, backgrounds, and styling outfits, I savored every minute of quiet, satisfying relaxation. We rented a beautiful home upstate on 10 acres of land to celebrate Victoria’s 30th birthday with 3 of our favorite couples. A few highlights included a two-hour morning yoga class outside overlooking the mountains (move over RHONY!) while our husbands played golf, eating amazing home-cooked meals, playing Bocce on the lawn, drinking refreshing citrus Mojitos, sunbathing and chatting for hours on the porch, and of course making s’mores.
So just pretend that I did all that looking put together in this chic little romper . . . But in reality we all wore yoga pants (this palm-print sweatshirt did make an appearance!) and maxi dresses all weekend long. And it was glorious. If that’s what it means to be an adult, I’m so in!

Obsessing over that palm print dress and that romper-I’m not sure which I love more!
They’re both pretty darn great! I’m kind of obsessed with the romper. It’s out of control!
Can I have all 3 outfits?? I love the palm prints.
so cute! I want them all.
Loving this post today! Beautiful photographs!
Thanks! My husband took them so he’ll be happy to hear that. Will pass along the message 🙂
Love them all, especially that dress! Glad you all had the chance to unplug, whether it was totally on purpose or not. And of course, I’m a fan of the Carl Schurz back drop 🙂
Yay! Congrats, Julia–I loveeee these looks!
