Fall Staples

Fall Wardrobe Staples

I’ve done a fall staples post every year for the last three years and it’s always one of my favorites. I love love love fall clothes (anyone else?!) and am drawn to the same staples year after year with a few twists.

For example I always buy myself a new plaid shirt, usually whatever pattern J.Crew puts out for their “perfect shirt” in the fall… My collection is a little insane. This year’s navy version is on point. It’s dressy enough to wear under a blazer to work, and casual enough to throw on with skinny jeans (love these) and a puffer vest on the weekends.

Sweaters are a fall essential if you live in a cooler climate and this year I’m loving two affordable ones: This long cardigan (will be featured on the blog next week) and this v neck which is long and loose, so much so that I wore it throughout my entire pregnancy. It’s only $39 so I just bought the black version too. For that price, you think it would have fallen apart a year later, but it’s still in great shape!

Add a pair of riding boots, a Barbour coat, and a plaid scarf and you’ll be all set for the entire season. And don’t forget your LL Bean Boat and Tote for apple picking and errand running!
