I’m usually a dress gal from June through September but come fall, I never stray from my legging/jeans and booties looks. This year, most of my pants don’t fit so I am trying to get on the fall dress bandwagon. I found this one and I’m obsessed, but unfortunately it’s sold out. Luckily I did some looking around and found a bunch of other great options.
I have this dress in hot pink/coral (still available on sale for $50 here) but I love the fall colors like burgundy, navy, and black. The burgundy version looks similar to the dress I’m wearing above. It’s $88 and you can wear it to work, dress it up for a wedding, or pair it with booties on the weekend. If you buy one dress this fall, it should be this one because it’s so versatile and looks good on almost any body type. It’s on the top right of the collage below, FYI.
Even though it’s traditionally a summery color, I’m loving light pink for fall if done the right way. You can see how I wore it here for a party a few weeks ago. The dress from that photo is on sale and great for post-partum bellies, btw. If you’re not into the pink, it also comes in navy. If you are into the pink, however, I am obsessed with this bubblegum pink dress from Tuckernuck. They have so so so many good dresses for fall, I literally want them all. Most of which? This red drop waist. It’s pricey but also can be worn for holiday and even Valentine’s Day festivities.
PS Shopbop is having a major sale today for everything on their site! Use code EOTS17 for 20% off orders under $500 and $25 off orders of $500 or more. They have a ton of great fall dresses. I love this plaid button down dress and this swing dress for under $60! The sale goes through Friday FYI.
In other sale news, J.Crew is having a 30% off plus free shipping sale with code SHOPFAST today. They have a bunch of cute dresses as well. I’m a fan of this striped turleneck one and this cute 50’s inspired shirt dress.
Note: I’ve received a few emails asking for nursing-friendly dresses. I didn’t include any because I haven’t nursed in public yet and I don’t wear dresses at home! More on that in tomorrow’s post though. In the meantime, I recommend Boob Design for nursing clothes (including dresses). Their stuff is easy to wear and very comfy!

That berry-colored dress looks amazing on you!
These are adorable.. but how do you breastfeed in public while wearing dresses like these? I’ve found that if I’m out with the baby I need either a shirt/pants outfit or a dress with buttons down the front, otherwise I’m completely flashing everyone if she needs to eat. Maybe the answer is that you just don’t bf in public while wearing dresses, or maybe my mom brain is blocking out a super easy solution!!
Agree! I was excited for this post but then disappointed not a single one is nursing friendly.
You know what’s crazy? I’ve literally never breastfed in public! Not because I don’t want to, but because I schedule our outings between feeds or bring a bottle of pumped milk (I only breasteed in the mornings and right before bed. I do pumped bottles for the rest of the day).
I haven’t come across any great nursing dresses except for one made by Boob Design which I wore when pregnant and have worn after as well. They have some amazing easy to wear options: http://www.boobdesign.com/shop/i-am-looking-for/dresses-maternity-nursing
