Happy Monday! I had a pretty laid back weekend, but it was much needed after our trip. I went to a baby shower and then we had some friends over on Saturday for early apps which is our new favorite activity with them. They had a baby a month after we did, so dinnertime is tough for all of us.
Instead, we get together around 4pm and each bring an app or two plus a bottle of wine. We switch off houses and it couldn’t be easier! We get to socialize with real life adults and not have to worry about childcare. Genius, right?
The weather was super weird, cold one minute then hot and humid the next. Seriously fall, can we just be here already? Today is supposed to be chillier, and I’m feeling ready to bundle up in a cozy sweater.
Every year I find that one cozy sweater that I end up wearing multiple times a week throughout the fall and winter. I definitely found “the one” for this year. It’s oversized yet flattering (magic?), amazing material, and the perfect cut. Plus it comes in five colors so I can get more than one. Pretty sure I need it in the hot pink too.
If you’re looking for a similar slouchy look for less money, this sweater is also a great option. It’s a little lighter weight, but great for transition days.
I’ve been wearing it with leggings around the house, but throw on my favorite pair of jeans and a great pair of booties (these are on sale btw) when we head out. Nordstrom has so many awesome pairs of jeans right now. I’ve been looking for a good affordable pair to wear because I’m still not fitting into most of mine (the ones in this post are being held together with a hair tie!).
I love these high waisted jeans for only $70 and these ripped ones for $65.
Lately I’ve been swapping out my tote for a leather backpack because my shoulders and neck are all messed up from breast feeding. Backpacks sound dorky but this leather one is super chic and easy to wear.
In other news, my hair is finally long enough to pull back in a sleek bun again and I’m pretty stoked about it. I’m growing it out again for the first time in two years. Remember how long it used to be?
