We’re back! I am still reeling from the fact that we actually took a whole week vacation and am already missing it big time… Although it always feels good to get home and organized and back to work in a way too.
I kept my outfits pretty easy breezy on the trip, and packed mostly dresses and rompers that I could throw on without too much thought. When we sleep in the same room as Amalia, we don’t have a lot of time to get ready for dinners because we’re simultaneously getting her ready for bed, putting her down, and getting ourselves dressed. It’s basically pure mayhem! Stay tuned for more on my tips for sleeping with your baby in a hotel room in tomorrow’s post. I’ve learned a lot on our last few trips…
I ended up wearing this maxi dress three times just because it was so easy to slip on and get out the door. Plus it’s cute, comfy, and flattering.
Two of the times, I paired it with these earrings that an amazing reader sent to me for the trip. She makes the most beautiful jewelry, and I got so many compliments on these! They’re perfectly oversized but super light so they don’t pull down on your ears which I love.
The other piece of clothing that I wore on repeat was this romper. You can see it on me here along with Jackson’s commentary that I looked like a girl scout without any badges, LOL. It was great for a beach cover up and also to go out to dinner.
Side bar, I totally missed my “shop my closet” post last week because we were out of town but I’ll be back with another one this week!

saw that dress in the store last week and loved it! so cute and breezy!
It’s so cute on too!
Love that dress! I can’t wait to be able to wear clothes that don’t require a nursing bra. It really limits the summer wardrobe! Looking forward to tomorrow’s post. We just successfully moved our baby girl to her nursery, but we’re sharing a room with her on vacation in a few weeks.
Oh girl I feel you! I was in that same situation last summer and was so over it. The nursing bra kills the summer vibe doesn’t it?
Can’t wait to hear your hotel room with baby recs! I’m always trying to figure out how to balance keeping the baby in a routine with enjoying vacation /not being stuck in a hotel room from 7pm on!
