Sometimes it’s still hard for me to believe that I don’t live in the city anymore. For example, two weekends ago, we decided to spontaneously head to Tod’s Point Beach to watch the sunset, something that would have been so foreign to me just a year ago. Don’t get me wrong, we would still go for nightly walks to watch the sunset but it would be among honking cars and thousands of people.
Today, these evening outings feel almost like a mini vacation. The views can be breathtaking and often there are only a few other people around us, if any at all. It makes all of the times that I miss New York worth it to live out here in Connecticut.
This week has been insane and I’m hoping we’ll have a sliver of free time over the weekend to make it to the beach. It really does soothe the soul!
I am a big fan of your Instagram so thought I would come check out your blog! I really enjoy all your posts and photos! Thanks!

You are the queen of pairing stripes and plaid. Every time I see you do it I want to try it so badly!

Love the pattern mixing! I live in central Philly and whenever I escape the city I feel so relaxed, must be nice to have a beach right there!

I love this so much, Julia! I agree — New York had some breathtaking views but there’s nothing like the peace and quiet (and sunsets over the Sound) that CT has to offer!
Hope you’re doing well!

Lovely post! I absolutely love my hunters, they’re neon green and I got them to wear to Glastonbury festival 🙂

I stumbled on your blog today and your pictures of Tod’s Point made me homesick! I grew up in Greenwich and spent many summers as a child at that beautiful beach. Thank you for sharing!
