Keeping Up

Keeping up with… the Kardashians? Fashion week? The bandana trend? Greenwich polo? Where to even begin rehashing this weekend…

Let’s start with my cameo on KUWTK, shall we? It all started on Friday afternoon. It was a hot day so I had to change my outfit (to this) last minute. I promised you guys that I’d show you how to style the bandana trend so figured this was the perfect chance! One thing I learned? A tight bandana (love this one I found at Madewell) around your neck isn’t great on a 90 degree, super humid day. But definitely awesome any other time.

So I shot these photos and headed to my first of three meetings of the day, tea at the Plaza Hotel, something I hadn’t done since I was a kid. It’s definitely an experience worth having if you haven’t already! So I’m meeting with a PR friend about a project she’s working on and we’re being all fancy drinking our tea… Then she invites a friend. We switch to alcohol. Then I invite Jess, who I was supposed to meet at 5pm downtown for a drink.

So we’re all sitting and having a few cocktails. I’m about to get up and leave to head to my 6:30 meeting when a production crew walks in and starts setting up cameras and lighting. We thought, “It can’t be the Kardashians, can it?”. It was. We all had to sign release forms and then in walks Kourtney with Jonathan Cheban. She’s stunning. He looks like a robot.

A few minutes later, Kylie and Tyga arrive. They’re sitting so close to me that I can literally smell them. One of them smells amazing. Still not sure which one! Kris and Cody show up next and they sit and have a two hour meal right next to us. We start freaking out and being stalkers, but I think we externally kept our cool… kind of.

Needless to say the whole experience was so bizarre and surreal that I simply couldn’t pull myself away to go to the rest of my meetings that night. I ended up Ubering back to Connecticut at midnight (if you know me, you know that is like the latest night ever for me!) and making quite the Snapchat story.

And that was just Friday night…

On Saturday I honestly spent most of the day lounging given my aggressive hangover, but I rallied to make it out to the city for dinner at Fig & Olive followed by an Amos Lee concert at Radio City Music Hall. He is one of my all time favorite singers so Anel gave me tickets for my birthday. My best friend Cynthia didn’t know this but saw on my blog that I was going and realized that we would both be there! So we met up with her and her fiancé for dinner and ended up moving our seats to sit next to each other. Such a fun and chill night.

Yesterday, Anel and I went for a hike with Boots, did some work around the house, and spent the afternoon with Town & Country at a polo match in Greenwich where I took over the T&C Snapchat for the day and, more importantly, met Dorinda from RHONY who was pretty awesome… and not sober.

Last night was gorgeous so we had an impromptu date night at Rowayton Seafood to watch the beautiful sunset. So overall, not too shabby of a weekend. Scroll down for outfit details and have a great Monday!

Ohemgee I can’t believe they sat right next to you, that’s crazy!! I saw Kris, some of the kids, and about a hundred of her entourage march through a Vegas casino once and she looked like a queen or something.

I watched both you and Jess’ snaps and was dying. I just LOLed when you said Jonathan Cheban looks like a robot. I follow him on snapchat too (ashamed to admit that) and he just seems like a pretentious a-hole for the most part! So jealous of that encounter, I will be watching out for that scene in the new season of KUWTK!

Seriously what a fun weekend!! Love it when fun days turn into great nights! My teen daughters and I loved your Snapchat stories from The Plaza…they are huge Kardashian fans! Please tell me how you had so many cute pics taken while you were in the city? Do you always carry your good camera with you? I’m guessing you had the photo shoot planned with a friend? Great shot with the Empire State in the window and I can’t believe you were able to avoid having other people in some of those shots! Fun post and lovely pics as always!
