Last week, I took a little girls trip to Rhode Island with Eva (more on that later this week) and we arrived at The Ocean House just in time for the most beautiful sunset (circa 4pm #winterinnewengland). They gave us each a glass of sparkling wine upon arrival so we brought it promptly outside for some photos. It was such a beautiful evening and the smell of cold air mixed with saltwater and this view was intoxicating… or maybe that was the champs 🙂
I threw on this tartan cape (currently 30% off!) and a pair of red gloves over what I wore on our drive up and it instantly elevated my outfit into a cozy holiday look that I’ve already repeated once within a week.
The cape would make a great gift for a mother in law by the way! Speaking of gifts, my headband in these photos might be my favorite purchase of the season. I’ve worn it literally every day since I bought it and I think I’m going to get it in pink too. It’s also on sale because what isn’t these days, right?
PS in unrelated news, check out the article I wrote for The Everymom with all of my tips for dealing with your baby’s transition to toddlerhood!
