Before I get into this post I want to say a heartfelt thank you to the overwhelming support I’ve received from you over the last two days. Monday’s post was the most raw and personal story I’ve ever shared on Lemon Stripes and the fact that the response was so positive and so full of love, made me incredibly grateful to have you as readers. The 70+ (no joke!) emails I received with your own fertility struggles both broke my heart and gave me hope. I spent the good part of the last two days responding to those emails which I think was the best way I could have spent my time. Connecting with other women who have suffered from a similar struggle is the most therapeutic way to move on.
It almost feels silly now to be writing about a dress and my favorite smoothie, but there are times for that rawness and then there are times to celebrate the beauty in life so let’s do that for today, shall we?

You can’t go wrong with a t-shirt dress…especially when it’s striped. It’s like wearing pjs… but it’s a dress. When Jess and Grace and I decided to do a “one look three ways” post, we immediately landed on this French Connection frock. I have quite a few striped dresses in my closet (over 20, don’t judge!) but this one is currently in my top five because it’s as casual and easy as a pair of denim shorts and could be easily dressed up if need be.
I wore it last weekend to lunch at Granola Bar in Greenwich, my new favorite spot for breakfast/brunch/lunch. I could have ordered everything on the menu but ended up with the Buddha Bowl (quinoa, mushrooms, avocado, seaweed, tomatoes) and a cashew milk yogurt with almond butter, honey and bananas. What??? Then I had to pick up a “Good Phat” smoothie to go (avocado, spinach, dates, cinnamon, almond milk). I’m definitely re-creating it at home but will probably go back this week to pick up another meal because it was just that good! Finding healthy restaurants in my hood makes my heart happy.
Check out how Grace styled the dress here and how Jess went for casual chic here.
