Warm and Cozy

This was the second outfit we shot on that freezing cold day last week (first one is here) and I have to say that I don’t miss the frigid temps at all. The last two days have been so “warm” aka over 40 degrees and it legit feels like spring compared to the weeks of below 10 degrees that we had. Literally people were smiling everywhere, the sun has been shining, and even Boots was excited about everything, bounding through the snow with an extra pep in his step. Living in New England is awesome on days like that. I think we just have a greater appreciation for the nice days because we get a lot of not-so-nice ones too.

Anyway, for whatever kind of winter day it is, I love a good classic sweater and this Something Navy x Treasure and Bond one has been in solid rotation for me recently. When she first launched the line, it sold out in a matter of days but it’s restocked in five colors now and just fits so well. Not to mention it’s super soft! I wear it over leggings most days (#momlife) but paired it with high waisted jeans for this look. I had cuter shoes planned for this shoot but it wasn’t going to happen. Bean Boots to the rescue!

I had this sweater in my cart after the restock, wanting the mustard color. On Monday, I saw that the sweater was on sale, but out of the yellow color I originally wanted, so I impulsively bought this pink color! I am much more excited to get it now that it looks so cute on you!

That sounds like us in SC (and the rest of the southeast except the opposite). We had cold weather (for us) last week and a once every decade and a half snow (aka accumulated), with one day not getting above freezing (record breaking energy usage I’m told). But our bad season is summer. Most of us can deal with it but we’re not very happy. For about 2 months we sit at a heat index of 110. We’re back up to highs in the 60s which I love, but the spring (aka February and March) is best, highs in the 70s and 80s and flowers blooming everywhere (I’ve seen pollen on my car as early as the end of January!). But I love Charleston!

It does! I’m wearing a small and it’s a little oversized but that’s the look.
