Silk Floral Romper

Spring Flowers

c/o Yumi Kim romper, Gigi NY clutch, D’Orsay flats, Karen Walker sunglasses, Hermes bracelet

Am I crazy or does it seem like we skipped spring and went straight to summer this year? These 80 degree days are such a warm welcome (literally) after the most brutal winter. While it heats up outside, my closet is firing up and my summer wardrobe is coming together quite nicely.

I’d had my eye on this bright, graphic floral romper for a few months. I finally had an excuse to pick it up a few weeks back  a video shoot I did with Guest of a Guest on how to entertain outdoors in the summer. I can’t wait to share the video with you soon!

I wore it last weekend for dinner and some plant shopping at Terrain. It’s our first summer living out of the city so we’re especially excited to create an outdoor space full of beautiful flowers, plants, and herbs. This store is so incredibly beautiful, I highly recommend checking it out if you’re ever in the area. Apparently it’s owned by the same people as Anthropologie which is easy to see when you check out the beautifully curated inside part of the shop.

Of course after checking out the entire store, I now am in dire need of these gorgeous all-weather teak armchairs and this rustic marble-top table for weeknight al fresco dinners. Total side bar but the café nestled into the back of the store has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants. One of the managers, Colton, always remembers us and throws in a free drink or dessert. Only in the ‘burbs!

I have this same romper in another pattern (originally worn here almost two years ago) and hope to pick up a few more (this one and this one are at the top of my list) because it is insanely flattering and comfortable and I get endless compliments every time I wear it.
