Holiday Decor Tips

Holiday Home 3

Growing up, my family always went all out during the holidays. We decorated for Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and even Valentine’s Day. My mom was amazing at storing the decorations in organized boxes and we’d make a party out of decorating come each one.

Today, I’m making that tradition my own and this is the first year that we’ve had enough room for a full 8-foot tree. When I come home after work at night, I get so excited to turn on all of the sparkly lights and enjoy the holiday season at home.

I wanted to share a few vignettes from the scene with you today and share a few of the small details that make the space!

1. Put a bow on it. I have a ton of red velvet bows that my mom gave me a few years ago. I never knew what to do with them (we used to hang them along the stair case but I don’t have one) so this year I pinned them on top of the three mirrors in our living room and on our Gray Malin.

2. Hang your stockings some place new! We don’t have a fire place, so I stuck our Christmas stockings on our bar. It makes people laugh and gives some flair to our bar. I added striped and polka dotted red straws to tie it all together.

3. Colorful bulbs aren’t only for the tree. I put a bunch in a glass hurricane for festive table decor.

I love how you integrated so much red – it really brings a pop of color and is so festive! Especially the poinsetta and the flowers (?) in that blue vase! Not sure what they are, but I love it 🙂
