Life Lately: Volume 56

It is the start of another fun summer weekend. We have a packed one with friends visiting, the local fair in town, Father’s Day, and birthday parties. I swear Amalia’s social life is better than mine has ever been.

I had a great week full of exciting work stuff and two happy little kids. I don’t want to jinx it but I feel like we’re in a good swing right now with them and that feels great.

After a week and change on iron supplements for my anemia, I’m also feeling physically so much better. I no longer wake up exhausted after 8 hours of sleep and I don’t want to crawl into bed before 9pm. It’s made a huge difference.

High: I had two really great meetings about two potential future projects that really got my creative juices flowing for the first time in a very long time. I felt on top of the world for the first half of the week and it was great.

Low: Then of course on Thursday my computer totally crashed and it is now being sent out to Apple (wherever they send it) to be fixed. Womp womp.

10 places to visit in New England this summer: Jess came through with everything I would have recommended too.

Crypto is crashing… And it deserves to according to this article.

Cute Apple Watch bands: Big ups to this small business has great product and great customer service. I had an issue with an order I placed and they immediately responded with a second free watch band. Originally I ordered periwinkle and now have that and the hot pink!

The best LGBTQ+ charities to support: With either time or money.

Everything to know about Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie.

The wrong formula. In the face of a baby food shortage, desperate moms are turning to strangers on Facebook to help—but social media shouldn’t be the answer.

Spicy creamy slaw.

Why Biden shouldn’t run in 2024: He’s fit to be president right now but he’s too old for the next election.

One woman’s manic first day’s of motherhood: Her experience with postpartum psychosis sounds terrifying.
