Life Lately: Volume 122

Happy Friday! It has been the most beautiful week here in Connecticut and I can feel the dread of winter slipping away day by day. My tennis group had our first outdoor lesson of the season this week and I was literally hopping up and down in delight the entire time. I love this time of year so much!

Things have been heating up for “Maycember” which is a very very busy time of year for school-aged kids with recitals and end of year trips and activities and spirit weeks and such. My daughter’s schedule is busier than mine has been in my entire life, I swear.

Between all the chaos, I’ve been trying to sneak in little pockets of calm where I can. I’ve been getting up just a bit earlier to enjoy my London Fog in peace before the mad rush of our day begins. Our garden is finally coming back to life too, I spotted the first few buds this week on our hydrangea bushes earlier this week, which always feels like a little personal victory after a long New England winter.
