Today is the day! Today is the day! I couldn’t be more excited to share that my Chappywrap x Lemon Stripes collection is officially live. This has been over a year in the making and it feels so exciting that these blankets will be used and loved by many of you very soon.
We had no idea what the response would be so when I originally shared it and the waitlist was much higher than anticipated, we made an order for another run that will come out in a few weeks. So if these sell out quickly today, there will be another chance to buy them, not to worry!
The background:ย For anyone new here, I’ll give you a little background on my relationship with Chappywrap. Christina, one of the brand’s co-owners (the daughter in the mother-daughter duo) was good friends with my sister in high school so I’ve known her since she was 14. Her mom started this company back then and my family has been obsessed with their blankets ever since.
Their blankets are like nothing else. The natural cotton blend is soft and thick and they’re the perfect weight and warmth. Once you go Chappy, you’ll never go back! It has been amazing to watch their hard work pay off with a company that has grown immensely over the last few years. it’s such an honor to be a part of it with this collection.
The designs: Lemons and stripes were no-brainers. Ever since we first started talking about a collab like this years ago, we knew they would be a given. The lemons are whimsical and bright, perfect for summer or a kid’s room. And the stripes are classic and will never go out of style. For a third design, I wanted to bring in my love of French blue and my love of block print patterns. The incredible Chappywrap design team came back with a bunch of options based on my mood boards and after very few tweaks, we ended up with this.
We also put a lot of thought into the piping color for each blanket which I’m not sure if anyone will notice except for us. I love the contrast of the navy piping on the Hanover. and the sweet French blue (we had to change this a few times to get it perfect!) on the Amalfi.
The names: I had a hard time coming up with names for all three because they’re so different but then I thought of naming the lemon one “The Amalfi Blanket” and the other two names fell into place. Each blanket is named after a significant place in my life. Hanover is the town where I grew up, Westport is where I live now, and Amalfi is where Anel and I honeymooned.
Sizing: We made all three blankets in their regular size and then did the Westport and the Amalfi in the midi size which is perfect for toddler beds, nursing blankets, and to wrap around your shoulders or over your lap while you work.
The blankets: I hope you love them as much as I do! Here are some photos to give you a look at how I style them in my home.
