Happy Monday and happy first day of my family vacation to me! Anel decided last minute that he wanted to extend our Wednesday-Sunday vacay to a full on week so we’re heading to Newport today to pregame our five days in Martha’s Vineyard with my whole family.
I packed my fave fleece turtlenecks but we’re apparently getting a big heat wave in the northeast this week so I don’t think they’ll be coming out of my suitcase anytime soon!
Speaking of fleece turtlenecks…
I’m so excited to finally announce that I’ve teamed up with my friend Lauren, one of the sister founders of Dudley Stephens, to make a Lemon Stripes fleece (a few different fleeces actually) just in time for fall. I can’t tell you much more than that just yet but it’s going to be super cozy, super cute, and super on your fall wish lists I hope!
Lauren and I had been talking about doing this for a long time and finally just went for it earlier this year. The production process takes a very long time, and I’ve become so fascinated with it all throughout this process. More to come on all of that but get excited. And yes we’ll be doing giveaways, don’t you worry!
Watching her and her sister grow this business from the ground up has been such an honor. I’m so proud of them and what they’ve created and also feel slightly jealous because they get to live in the same town and work together every day.
As you can probably tell by now, my sister and I are super close, but she lives in San Francisco at the moment which has been really tough, especially since I had Amalia. Although we’re different enough that I don’t think we could ever start a business together, we talk about living within driving distance in the near future.
Having her here for almost a full week was incredible and the longest stretch of time we’ve spent together since she moved last year. It was great not only for me but for Amalia to really and truly get to know her auntie.
And of course I made her take these photos with me in our matching fleeces. She thought it was the funniest thing ever. In the last photo below you can see that we’re laughing hysterically. The whole situation was too much!
So as to the point of this post? To announce my exciting collab, to say I love you to my sister (also a Lauren), and because I really needed a good excuse to share these photos!

Yes! And these are seriously the coziest I promise.
These pics are adorable AND I am getting my sisters Dudley Stephens fleeces as their Christmas gifts this year! Can’t wait to see the LS versions. So many options!
Yay that made my day!
I love my Dudley Stephens Fleeces! That is so exciting and I can’t wait to see the design… what a fun collaboration.
I love how you “Mom bosses” are supporting each other and building each other up.
How exciting! I’ve been eyeing the DS fleeces for a while, and I can’t wait to see your collaboration! Do you prefer their longer or shorter styles?
Congratulations on the Collab!! That is so exciting! Can’t wait to see the new Dudley Stephens pieces. 🙂
Ahh I can’t wait to see what you guys have designed!! I ordered a Dudley Stephens Fleece last year and it was a little big on me, but I may just have to get whatever the smallest size is in the one you worked with them on and if it’s a little big oh well!! Haha. Congrats though, I am sure that was so fun to do!!
Amalia looks so much like your sister! So fun and so cute! I wish all of my 3 sisters lived near me!
Oh my goodness! How fun + exciting is that!
