I have officially been blogging for 10 years. And according to Wordpress, I've published almost 1900 blog posts in that time.
It's hard to believe that I was only 24 and newly dating Anel when I started "Lemons & Loafers" with a post, Greens Galore, about my very first CSA haul in the city and what I made with it.
Inspired by others in my industry (like Grace Atwood and Kate Huyett), in addition to donating money, I will donate my time to work with Black-owned business owners over the next month and beyond. Some of you know that in addition to blogging I have a digital marketing consulting business. Working with start-ups and small businesses is my real passion!
As a part of my commitment to doing better, I will be sharing and shopping from more Black-owned brands and sharing them on Lemon Stripes and thought I would start today with this list that features clean beauty, colorful clothing, and beautifully minimalist jewelry. I'm excited to try some of the new-t0-me products on this list.
This week I have learned more about race in America than I have in the last 34 years. Which says a lot about both my education and what I've chosen to pay attention to in my life. Based on what I've read and watched, I'm embarrassed about many of the actions I've taken and mortified about how I've handled certain situations in my past.
