The Best Tuna Salad

I don't know what it is about being home all the time, but Anel and I have become sandwich-obsessed. We try to eat them open-faced on good bread (like sourdough) and have been having sandwich-offs regularly. It's a whole thing in our house right now.

One thing we both agree on? I make the best tuna salad.

My Summer Closet

Over the long weekend, I finished swapping out my summer and winter clothes which always feels like an exciting time in the year. Every Memorial Day I pack up my sweaters, scarves, and jackets, replacing them with breezy dresses, striped tees, and sunhats. While my overly robust rattan bag collection probably won't be getting much use this year, I assume I'll be living in two outfits all summer: Loose and comfy dresses (the summer sweatpant, IMO) and denim shorts with a simple tee.

Memorial Day Weekend 2020

Memorial Day weekend is usually a time when we travel, get together with friends and family, have big parties, and march in parades. This year, obviously, it is going to be very different. Parades are canceled and parties of 6 people or less standing 6 feet apart don't really have the same vibe.

So although nothing right now is normal, I've found that when we try to do the things that we did in our "old life" everything feels a little bit better.

All the Books I’ve Read This Spring

10 weeks. 6.5 books. That's not too shabby! I'm not the fastest reader but I love to read and I've found that I'm reading more and watching less TV after Amalia goes to bed at night these days. It calms me before sleep and takes me out of my head for an hour every night. Here is a round-up of all the books I've read so far since we've been staying at home and a review of each, ranked from favorite to least favorite.
