Happy Monday and happy first day of my family vacation to me! Anel decided last minute that he wanted to extend our Wednesday-Sunday vacay to a full on week so we're heading to Newport today to pregame our five days in Martha's Vineyard with my whole family.
I packed my fave fleece turtlenecks but we're apparently getting a big heat wave in the northeast this week so I don't think they'll be coming out of my suitcase anytime soon!
Happy Friday! Sorry for the delayed post today but I've been fighting one of Amalia's super fun summer viruses for a few days now and have gotten so behind on everything. A lot of you have requested a post on daycare lunch ideas, and I'm sharing all of Amalia's favorites today.
To be honest, I sometimes feel like I have no idea what I'm doing and being creative with her meals has been one of the toughest parts of motherhood in the last two or three months.
As promised in my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale post (found here), I'm starting a series this month where I shop my closet to create a full look every week in August. Here is the first of those posts. I had so much fun putting it together!
I wanted to do this for two reasons:
1. As a blogger I sometimes feel icky pushing so much product on you guys.
When I first moved from Manhattan to Stamford, CT, I did a whole series about moving to the suburbs, but now that it's been almost four years (can you believe that?), I thought it was time for one more update. I found these pictures that I took in the city a few months ago, and looking at them brought on a pang of nostalgia and made me think about the move again.
When I first shared Amalia's nursery last summer, I was pregnant and had no clue... about anything. I knew I needed a crib and I knew I liked pink and white but that was about it. I had hydrangeas in a glass vase on her shelves! LOL to that now. I thought it would be fun to share the small changes we've made now that we've had a baby living in the room for a year and know what's up.
