Basement Playroom

When we moved into our house (over 5 years ago now!), we finished the basement, assuming that it would one day be a space where our kids could hang out together and/or with friends. At that time, Amalia was only two so going down there alone wasn't really an option. Now that the kids are 4 and (almost) 8, they're ok to play without me in the same room.

Life Lately: Volume 122

Happy Friday! It has been the most beautiful week here in Connecticut and I can feel the dread of winter slipping away day by day. My tennis group had our first outdoor lesson of the season this week and I was literally hopping up and down in delight the entire time. I love this time of year so much!

A Midlife Shift

Lately, I’ve been having this weird feeling I can’t quite put my finger on. It’s not bad, per se, just different. A little untethered. A little... in between I guess. I'm not sure if it has to do with turning 40 or having kids that are no longer toddlers, but it's definitely crept up on me.

Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2025

Every year when Mother’s Day rolls around, I find myself reflecting (even more than usual lol) on just how much moms really do every single day.
