Color blocking was my favorite trend of all time and I have been waiting for the day that it would come back around. 2010-2012 was basically the peak of my style sense because I wore bright colors every day. I'd show up to work with pink jeans and a red silk top or out to dinner in a yellow dress with neon pink pumps and it was just the best.
I saw a news story on TV yesterday with a headline that said: Sweater weather is officially here. They showed a whole poll taken by locals about when they break out their sweaters. It was some serious journalism, that's for sure!
But it wasn't wrong. Sweater weather = soup weather in my house. I love making warm and hearty soups in my slow cooker during the winter.
Happy Friday! I am so excited for this weekend because Anel and I are heading to Martha's Vineyard later today for our friend's wedding. And the best part is that my sister and brother-in-law are coming too. This will be the second time in two years that Anel and I have left Amalia at the same time.
The room that made me fall in love with our home at first sight was the kitchen. It's bright and big and beautifully simple in design. And it has more cabinet space than I've ever had in my entire life. Living and cooking and eating in it have proven to be wonderful experience. It is my dream kitchen in every way.
