Happy Friday! I am so excited for this weekend because Anel and I are heading to Martha’s Vineyard later today for our friend’s wedding. And the best part is that my sister and brother-in-law are coming too. This will be the second time in two years that Anel and I have left Amalia at the same time. I’ve taken a lot of trips for work and he’s traveled to see family, but we went to Newport for our anniversary last year and that was it.
We had planned to go away this year too but it ended up being the week we moved so we canceled the trip last minute. I think it’s so important for a marriage to do things without your children every once in a while and we’ve had a lot going on lately so this mini-vacation is coming at the perfect time.
One of my favorite things to see from other bloggers is what they wear on a daily basis. I’ve been loyally following Emily’s weekday wardrobe for years and when Grace and Jess started their “what I wore” series, I became fascinated with their daily looks as well. I’m trying this out for the first time today and sharing everything I wore this week.
Because I live in the ‘burbs and don’t have to dress up that often, most of my looks are pretty casual. But every once in a while I get to dress up for something which is always fun. This week was a little crazy emotionally because I had my first panic attack in months on Tuesday (shortly after the picture below was taken… looking back I can see it coming in my eyes) so that afternoon was a blur as was Wednesday. The day after a panic attack I’m always emotionally exhausted.
But the rest of the week was pretty good and very productive. It went from 85 and sunny on Wednesday to 50 and rainy on Thursday and I think we might be done with the hot weather for 2019.
So here it is, my first installment of this week in outfits. We’ll see how it goes and if you guys like it, I’ll keep it around as a regular thing. Have a great weekend! And if I’ve learned one thing from this exercise… it’s that I need a better selfie mirror set up!

Friday in a nutshell: Morning meeting with Bluestar (that beautiful custom stove/range company that I shared on Instagram!) then off to Martha’s Vineyard for a wedding weekend.
I also love following Emily’s weekly wardrobe, and a bunch of other blogger’s similar type of posts actually, because I feel really inspired to mix and match items in my closet, thus answering the eternal question of “What should I wear today?” Your style might be on the casual side, but I still find inspiration in the way you combine items and accessorize them, so I think it actually appeals to more people than you think.
I definitely would like to see this becoming a regular type of post.
Also, is the Shop my closet series still happening?
Ok great! That makes me so happy to hear. I’ll make it as regular as I can and yes shop my closet is still around. I have a new one coming next week!
I love this post! Happy Weekend!
Umm photo cred? 😉 love all these looks!! Definitely looking forward to more!!
Maybe if you had taken a better photo… I don’t know 🙂
Love this!! What size are you wearing in the mango dress and top? I would never go for it by looking at the pictures on their site but it looks so great on you! Also is the dress nursing friendly (do the buttons actually unbutton?).
They are both a size 2 (US) and fit perfectly. I bought the dress because I saw it on a friend of mine and loved it! I normally wouldn’t go for it either. The shirt unbottons and could totally be nursing friendly if you’re ok with unbottoning them all but the dress buttons don’t come undone
I love these posts! I tried to do something similar on Instagram this year, but it only lasted a few weeks. Putting it on your blog is a great idea! I also enjoy hearing a little snippet about your day.
I mean I have a history of starting and then forgetting about series so could happen to me too 🙂 But hoping I can keep it around because it’s fun to do!
Loving those leopard flats and the Dudley Stephens Turtleneck !!! Have a great weekend.
Love it!! So inspiring 🙂
Also cooler (cold) weather where I live…
Definitely keep this outfit roundup coming back every week. I like how you detailed what you did in your day also. Gives lots of outfit options.
I love love this post! I was thinking of doing this too! I love how it keeps it more real. Love you daily outfits Julia!! Have a great little vacay!

You should do it! It’s fun on this side of it too.
Definitely loving these posts – though I shouldn’t be shopping !!
These are my favorite type of post! Your style is so relatable and inspirational 🙂
Oh good! And thank you!
Love these posts!
I follow a few of these and they are one my favorite things! Causal, dressy doesn’t matter to me I like them to see if I find inspiration in anything when I am feeling blah or wearing the same stuff. Keep them up!
Love this! Keep these Week in Outfits coming! So helpful! And don’t sweat the panic attack. As a fellow anxiety sufferer, it can be so frustrating. But hang in there, as you have made HUGE strides and progress! I know it sounds silly, but if I feel one coming on (and it is so rare these days with the help of meds), I say out loud to myself, “You are fine. You are going to be fine.” It sounds weird, but it really works and I haven’t had an attack in years! You’ve got this!
