I love classic summer weekends spent on the beach eating lobster rolls and frozen lemonade peppered with sand, drinking dark and stormies at a bar overlooking the ocean, and spending time with close friends and family. This weekend was just that. Plus I met with my hair stylist for the wedding and picked a fabulous look for the big day!
My sister and I are headed up to Newport, RI today to meet up with my wedding hairdressers for a hair trial (only 4 weeks away!). I still have no idea what my updo will look like but these are a few of my inspirations.
I don't like any traditional pasta salads so I made my own version last weekend with a rainbow of vegetables, whole wheat pasta, and a sauce with a basil pesto base. It was super refreshing and easy to make. A great dish to bring to a summer BBQ or to serve to a large group of people.
So many people have asked to see photos of our new apartment so finally I took them last weekend. We live in New York City so the space is small, but with a lot of thought, color, and hard work, I've made it a tiny oasis on the Upper East Side. It's clean, it's bright, it's colorful, and it's home.
