Words for Your Weekend
Playing dress up was always my favorite game as a kid. Now I can see that I never stopped playing!
I had a dinner party last night for some serious foodies. I thought about making all sorts of fancy desserts but after watching countless episodes of Top Chef, I know that sometimes people want something simple that takes them back to their childhood. When I found this recipe for s'mores brownies, I knew it was perfect.
Real winter has finally settled in here in New York City which made my fiancé and I start to feel antsy for some sunshine. Instead of complaining about it, we were proactive last week and booked a long-weekend trip to Puerto Rico in April for his birthday! We found super affordable airfare (I always sign up for Kayak alerts when I know I need to buy tickets for something), and a fabulous hotel.
My weekends usually consist of a lazy Saturday and an action-packed Sunday, where I spend time crossing things off of my to-do list. The last two days were no different. On Saturday, I brunched with my dad's wife and my baby brother at Candle Cafe, watched movies, ate tacos and drank pomegranate margaritas at Rosa Mexicana, completing nothing that I had to get done.
