Before & After: Our Bed Edition

{Dressing to match your sheets. A new trend!}

For the last 2 years, Anel and I have been using a duvet cover that I impulse-purchased at Ikea for $19.99. The pattern was cute, but the cut was so bad that the comforter always looked lumpy and oddly-shaped. There were no buttons, so you could always see the white duvet sticking out of the bottom.

Black and White Cookies

Black and white cookies are a classic cult favorite in New York City. I've never seen them anywhere else, and I've never walked into a NYC deli without them. I was going to a dinner party last weekend at the apartment of a true born and bred New Yorker, so I attempted to make my own, using this recipe.

My Weekend in Photographs

{My new Kindle cover}

It was a snowy and freezing weekend here in New York City so we spent a lot of time under blankets reading our Kindles and watching movies (I finally saw The Help, and yes I cried hysterically), while cookies were baking in the oven. It was also time for taxes, so a lot of time was spent on TurboTax, where I tried to pretend like I understood anything about taxes.
