This weekend was a whirlwind of creating our wedding registries. It was quite overwhelming to walk into my favorite stores and think about the items that I would want to use for the rest of our lives. But at the end of the day, it was really a dream come true. And Anel couldn't get enough of the scanner gun!

Farro and Kale Salad

My dad and his wife discovered this classic summer recipe from a hand out at New York City's Green Market. It was typed on a piece of paper so I can't link to it here but it is typed out below for your reference. I never thought I liked farro until I tasted this. It looks like a normal potluck-type side salad, but it is surprisingly delightful and really steals the show of any meal that it's served with.

Wedding Love

Now that our venue is finally chosen (a weight has been lifted!), I can start to focus on the fun part of planning our wedding. The flowers, the colors, the cake, and the DRESS! Here are a few images from the early stages of my vision board. There are so many ideas flowing through my head, it's hard to reign it all in.

An American Girl in France

You might recognize this outfit that I shamelessly outfit-repeated in yesterday's post. This white dress is one of my favorite summer go-tos. It can be worn in so many ways. With big jewelry and heels, or belted with sandals for a jaunt around Aix-en-Provence like in today's photos.

My Weekend in Photographs

{Taking copious notes everywhere we went}

This weekend, Anel and I raced to Rhode Island at the last minute to begin (and end!) our wedding venue search. Not only did we find the most magical place in the world to get married, but we also had a great time eating my grandmother's spaghetti and meatballs, envisioning our upcoming wedding, getting in some beach time, and getting my 5 mile training run over with!
