Before I get into it, I just want to say thank you for all of the beautiful comments, emails, and messages about my post yesterday. You guys lifted me up in ways that you can never know. I love having such amazing readers. You are all just the best! I was SO beyond nervous to hit publish on it, so I was truly floored by the response.
Ok, enough of the serious stuff…
A few weeks back I ordered this floral off shoulder top on a whim. I didn’t think much of it, just that it would be cute for summer parties and BBQs. When it arrived, I tried it on and something in me shifted. I felt pretty for the first time in literally six months. I don’t know what it is about it, maybe that it has a flattering silhouette, maybe it’s the colors. Who knows! But when you feel bloated from head to toe on a daily basis, it’s a hard feat.
That night I wore it for dinner at home with Anel in our backyard and I felt happy the entire time. He said my smile was contagious!
It also inspired me to find a whole bunch of cute floral off-shoulder tops (non-maternity) like this gorgeous blue and white one from Tuckernuck and this Sanctuary top that looks similar to mine. Scroll all the way down to shop more of my picks. They’re not all floral, but I discovered so many good off-shoulder shirts on Nordstrom while working on this post.
PS The sparkle in my ear isn’t a random new piercing. My acupuncturist puts “ear seeds” on pressure points in my ear to alleviate things like stress and nausea, and sometimes she gives me the fancy ones with Swarovski crystals because she’s just cool like that.
PPS Please disregard my awkward tan lines. I need to work on that situation stat!

I’m working on a Pink Blush post this week and I agree – their products have done a great job of just making me feel PRETTY during pregnancy!
YES! It’s the only brand I’ve found that makes me feel that way. I just bought what I THINK will be my shower dress from there too 🙂
You are glowing! That top is so pretty! It’ll also be perfect for the weeks after you deliver. It looks so comfortable and very flattering!

Thank you! Love the earrings too.
I love all of the off-the-shoulder tops creeping up in popularity this season, but I have serious trouble keeping them actually off of my shoulders! Barely an arm raise or a hug, and up they creep. Do you have any tips or tricks for keeping them at least relatively in place?
Also, to echo everyone else’s comments, your post yesterday was great. Thank you for being authentic, and don’t pay any mind to the negativity. Those critics who spend all of their time looking for faults in others should spend that time looking inward, replacing their negativity with something constructive and productive.
Such a valid issue. They all creep as far as I can tell. This one wasn’t so bad for some reason and I have one more that’s good, but the rest are impossible! I feel your pain.
And thank you for your comment about yesterday’s post xoxo
You look so pretty! This top is gorgeous on you.
you look amazing!
