Over the weekend, I popped into a bunch of stores to run errands, and every single one was set up for holiday with trees, wreaths, and over the top sparkle. I kind of loved it. When I got home, I started strategizing my holiday gift shopping strategy, which I plan to do a little differently this year by shopping small.
First of all, my heart was absolutely broken when I woke up this morning. I'm devastated by last night's news, but as Obama predicted, the sun rose today. I can only pray that we'll all be ok. The show must go on, and although it feels silly to be posting about turkey shoes and plaid capes, such is life.

"Excuse me, do you have a gluten free menu?", "Can they make that without dairy?", "I'm actually not drinking tonight, thanks though!"
All three of these phrases come out of my mouth on a daily basis. One of the most commonly asked questions I get on email and Snapchat is, "Why are you gluten free?" In truth it goes far beyond gluten, and I have some really annoying dietary restrictions, some by choice, and some not by choice.
We "fell back" yesterday, and man did it make a difference! On the plus side, I've been waking up at 6am and getting a ton of work done in the mornings, but on the negative side, it gets dark at four effing thirty which is a major bummer. Slash I want to go to bed at 8pm...
