The first two days in LA were chillier than I had hoped. I arrived just after a heat wave ended so my dreams of laying on the beach were squandered pretty quickly upon landing. The bright side was that I finally had a great excuse to wear this gorgeous blue and white embroidered tunic that I'd been dying to wear for a while now.

This outfit epitomizes my trip to Los Angeles last week. On my way there I was feeling cold, tired, and overwhelmed with my big change to working from home. I was getting a cold and felt pretty lousy in general. On my way back, I felt rejuvenated, happy, relaxed, and sunshine-y (the official term).
Although I have a background in holistic healthy coaching, like many other seemingly healthy people, I get "stuck" in certain situations. Eating out is one of them. I can be "good" all week, cooking clean meals and drinking plenty of green juice, but when I go out to a nice restaurant, that is all long forgotten.

I can't believe how insanely excited I am to be ditching this weather and heading to LA today. It's supposed to be warm during the days and cool at night in true California fashion, so I'm packing lots of layers from cozy chic sweatshirts to denim shorts to light blazers (I might have to invest in this one), to simple striped dresses.
