Shirt / Skirt / Shoes / Clutch (similar) / Glasses

This is the last of the three looks that I shot in LA and probably my favorite. When I’m in Venice Beach, I always feel like I need to have a more boho vibe but this look is obviously more preppy and way more me. I may have stuck out like a sore them on Abbot Kinney where we took these photos, but I just adore the matching prints and textures in my striped shirt and eyelet midi skirt.

In other news, yesterday I faced one of my biggest fears and did a photo shoot in a bathing suit… like in only a bathing suit.. for People StyleWatch. The fear lies in having my body on display so publicly. I thought it would feel terrible to be so exposed in front of a huge crew of people and five other bloggers, but after literally hours of getting glammed up, including about 15 lbs of body make up which is my new favorite thing ever, I felt confident and ready to shine. Trust me, after you have three women “painting” a tan on your inner thighs, you kind of give up on feeling prudish!

When I got up on set, they started blasting Biebs and it was smooth sailing from there. The fan blowing in my face made me feel like Beyoncé and the suit that the stylists chose for my body type was everything. I can’t wait to share the photos when they come out in the May issue.
