Life Lately: Volume 85

Our house felt very strange and quiet this week because Amalia spent most of it at my dad's house in New Hampshire for her April break. We left her there after Easter and my dad drove her back down on Wednesday night on his way to the city. Going from two to one kids for 4 days was like a vacation though, let me tell ya.

Simple Suppers: Vegetarian Taco Bowls

This recipe... if you can even call it that... is so easy and amenable to different tastes. For the kids, I often just do rice, beans, cheese, and sour cream, then add the bells and whistles for the grown ups. It is made up of pretty much just three ingredients: rice, beans, and corn. Then you can top it with whatever you like!

5 Random Things: April

I have been so busy with my cookbook and another project I'm working on (launching Sunday!) that I completely spaced on 5 Random Things in March. So hello again with my favorite post of the month. I've read a lot of great books, watching some fantastic shows, and have some fun favorites for you today.
