Happy Monday, guys! We had a perfect quintessential summer weekend that included pizza on the beach at sunset, a BBQ, pool party, baby shower, and our last parenting class (now we're serious swaddling pros). I had an insane surge of energy for the first time in months, and I took full advantage of it. I realized last night that 4th of July weekend is next weekend.
It’s officially been four weeks since I started using an anti-aging cream (read my two week update here and about how they earned Good Housekeeping’s Seal of Approval here), and I’m ready to share my final results!
Overall, I’ve been beyond impressed and felt zero self-consciousness snapping photos of my face for this post. Usually, I’d be worried about drooping skin, but I feel tighter and brighter, and therefore more confident!
A lot of you have been asking me to share my birth plan, so I wanted to finally share it with you today. Because we decided not to have a set "birth plan" (more on that at the very bottom of this post), I'm sharing how we're preparing physically, mentally, and emotionally for labor. Obviously, I know that I have no idea what I'm in for since I've never done this before, but I'm thinking of it like training for a marathon (but like the hardest marathon ever): I'm going to train as much as possible in any way that I can, and when the day comes, I'll have some tools in my back pocket that will make the experience easier and more manageable.
I realized halfway through June that I didn't post my monthly wish list, but better late than never, right? With the New England heat and humidity finally in full swing, I have my eye on bright summery pieces that will take me from the beach to date nights.
Before I get into it, I wanted to let you all know that I'm trying to focus on balancing sharing pieces that are affordable (almost everything here is under $100) but also high quality so that you don't have to buy and rebuy items every season.
Getting dressed these days is hard enough (bending down to put on pants or shorts is no joke with this belly!) but getting dressed and actually looking cute is feeling virtually impossible. So I'm excited to say that this will be my last official outfit post until post-baby. I hit the nine-month mark this week (36 weeks) so I think it's a good time to wind down for a bit.
