The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby is my favorite book of all time. I share this favorite with probably millions of other people which is part of the reason the Baz Luhrmann’s take on the classic story is getting so much press. If somehow you live under a rock, Baz Luhrmann is the director known best for making Moulin Rouge and Romeo and Juliet, both colorfully flamboyant flicks.

The Great Gatsby is actually the only book that I’ve read multiple times as an adult. Of course I love the stunning descriptions of the over-the-top parties and clothes, but the dark, haunting love story gets to me every time.

I can’t wait to go see it this weekend! Will you be seeing it in theaters as well?
