I have the same feeling about Easter baskets that I do about Christmas stockings: No random plastic junk that they’re going to throw out in a few days. I try to put in things that they will really use or play with.
They get one small toy each plus a book, a pair of PJs, a toothbrush, an activity book, and an accessory. Plus chocolate and jelly beans, of course! It feels intentional and they will still love it.
Amalia’s Easter Basket:
Baby-Sitters Little Sister: The new BSLS book just dropped this week and it is the talk of the 2nd grade town! Kind of a no-brainer for our house.
Name Necklace: This is her absolute favorite necklace and she lost it at gymnastics practice last week. I told her I wouldn’t buy her a new one, but I didn’t say anything about the Easter Bunny!
Playful Patterns Coloring Book: Before bed we often sit and color together so we go through a lot of coloring books.
Toothbrush Toys Toothbrush (15% off): This is a new-to-me kids toothbrush brand that looks adorable. I just ordered one for each kid for their basket.
Water Bottle: I am a recent Brumate convert and love both their kid and grown up water bottles.
LEGO Egg: My daughter, and a lot of kids her age, are very into LEGO. And they are marketing geniuses. Why yes of course I’ll buy this Easter egg set, thank you!
Luca’s Easter Basket:
Construction Site Spring Delight: We have every other book in this series and read at least 3/week before bed. They’re really cute and Luca loves them.
Monogram Letter Hat: My big-headed baby has grown out of all his toddler-sized hats so we now have to buy him big kid sizes.
Toothbrush Toys shark toothbrush (15% off): Our current shark obsession continues…
Monster Truck: I think I found the single monster truck he doesn’t yet own. So might as well add that to the collection.
