Today’s it’s back to the grind after a relaxing weekend in Martha’s Vineyard. The last 4 days were filled with family time, incredible fresh-off-the-boat sea food, no make up, no internet, and fire-side s’mores.
It was exactly what we all needed – to tune out and chill out for three days straight. What was our family mantra for the weekend? Let me refer to the Island Company for their classic slogan for this one: Quit your job (or just put it on hold for a few days). Buy a ticket (with maybe a delay or two on your way). Get a tan (check!). Fall in love (got that covered too). Never return (unfortunately this last one isn’t a reality).
Enjoy these photos from the sunniest most special weekend so far this summer!
I want to send a little shout out to Kate, the sweetest Lemon Stripes fan that I met at Atlantic Fish & Chop House on Sunday afternoon. You made my day!
The weekend started off on a bad foot when the Thursday morning fast ferry from Rhode Island was sold out (I’ve literally never seen that happen in 29 years of ferrying!). My sister, husband, and I decided to make the most of a bad situation and spend the morning in Newport, RI having breakfast and soaking up some rays on Easton Beach.
Looks like the perfect relaxing weekend. Hopefully your Monday back to reality is a great one!
It was rough. I have to say! 🙂
Beautiful photos! Love that Mara Hoffman swim suit!

Oh my gosh, that lobster hat!
How cute is the little man? The hat was amazing!
Even though you had a slight delay, looks like you had a fantastic weekend!! Wishing I’d gotten to spend that much time in the sun 🙂
