Sarasota Packing List

Sarasota Packing List

I’m so excited to be up and away to Florida today. The snow and ice as of late has really gotten under my skin, and this baby girl and I are both in major need of some Vitamin D. I’m hoping she’s just like her mama, and loves the sun and warm weather. And although I’m majorly craving a margarita (Maybe they’ll make me a virgin?), I’m just excited for some alone time with my husband, and to put my toes in the sand.

We’re both very much looking forward to trying Shore Diner, hopefully relaxing with a yoga class together, and taking long walks on the beach.

What I’m most nervous about is stepping into a bathing suit for the first time since being pregnant. Everyone tells me it’s going to be “soooo cute” but when it’s your own body that is changing rapidly in a new way, it’s a little scary. I haven’t really “popped” yet, so it just looks like I ate a few too many burritos! I think once I look actually pregnant, I’ll be more excited to wear tighter clothing, and will feel more confident.

I am packing mostly one-pieces, because I’m not sure I’ll be brave enough yet to show the belly in a bikini. I’m bringing this beautiful off-shoulder striped suit and this pretty turquoise patterned one with a high neck that I just love. I tried them both on yesterday and didn’t feel too bad! If you’re looking for a more affordable high-neck suit, this one is just gorgeous, and under $100.

Just in case I feel like I can do it, I have this top and bottom from Wala Swim (sized up in both) in my suitcase, but we’ll see if I can pull it off or not.

So what else is in my monogrammed canvas travel bag? Lots of dresses that can fit over my bump. Yesterday, Vineyard Vines sent over this cute striped maxi dress and blue patterned jumpsuit (I sized up). Side bar, I also got this hoodie that’s perfect for plane travel. I love the stripes inside the hood!

I’m bringing two cover ups, this flutter-sleeved Persifor number (you know they’re my favorite dress brand!) and this colorful pom cover up that I mentioned last week. This striped one didn’t come in time but it’s under $100 and so so cute.

Yesterday I tried on some of my shorts and only one pair fit so will be bringing those to pair with this striped off shoulder top.

If you’re wondering about the hat in the photo, I’m so excited to announce that it’s a design I created in collaboration with Hat Attack! It will be live on their site on March 1st, so stay tuned for more details.

Love your travel bag, and what’s going in it! I just love the items Vineyard Vines sent over, it inspired me to wear my fave Shep Sweater to work today (well, that and the current blizzard outside my window). Enjoy your beach vacay! xx Rox-Anne, Celebratingthislife.ca

Shore Diner is our favorite! The caprese steak is amazing. We stay on Siesta Key a few times a year. It’s the best place. Enjoy!

Hi Julia, could you give in the future, previews of what’s in your bag or a recap in photos. Otherwise it means we have to click on every single link which is too long in my opinion. A preview would mean we could choose to find out more about product only if we liked the look of it. Thank you! Have a lovely holiday in Florida! Julie x

First of all, let me just say that your fashion choices are Soo cute. Please don’t be to concentious. I lived in Sarasota for 38 years and I think it’s funny that it’s now a place that’s on the map. My daughter was born at SMH. I also moved north for part of my time and kept my house there. It just sounds so funny to hear about someone excited to go to Sarasota. When I lived there it was dirt roads and shacks on the beach..lol… Enjoy your stay, I was there on March 2018 and almost got covered in sand from the wind being so strong but it was great visiting friends and catching up on good times.
