In four months I’m turning 30 which is both exciting and terrifying. I know that 30 isn’t “old” by any means but it does feel like a life milestone is heading my way at lightening speed.
I’m lucky to be happily married with a career that I love which makes it less scary I think because for the first time ever, I feel like I actually have it all together.
That being said, I know this current feeling of security will change in the next decade. God willing, in the next 10 years I’ll pop out a kid or two and we’ll buy a house to raise them in. Two gigantic steps in life that scare me. . . Aggressively.
I also know that things in my body will start to change. I’ve already noticed that it took way longer to lose the holiday weight this year and I really do have to stay on top of what I eat and my exercise schedule to keep the body that always came without much effort in my early to mid 20s.
My skin has also started to change. I have been super strict about my face routine so I haven’t seen a lack of radiance yet, but my skin isn’t quite as tight as it used to be in my cheeks and under my eyes.
I know that I’m too young for certain products, but I definitely want keep my skin bouncy and radiant for as long as possible. I try to always use as many natural products as possible, so when I discovered Origins Skin Renewal that was literally designed for women in their 20s and early 30s.
It feels silky going on before moisturizer and I feel good knowing that it’s working for me all day long.
Thank you to Origins for sponsoring this post.
I love Origins product but I haven’t tried this one yet. Adding it to the list! While aging is inevitable, I know that the way that I take care of my skin now (in my late twenties) will directly impact my 30s!

I generally like your posts but this one was the worst….from you passive aggressive “I feel so safe having a husband and career” (You can be awesome without those things) to you “oh poor me my skin and body that I never had to do anything to look good now is changing” ugh get over your self….from what I can tell it does not even see like you use that product…no where on the website does it say it “literally is designed for 20 and 30 year olds” give me a break….if this add was on the tv I would switch channels.
Really? There is nothing wrong with feeling secure and accomplished in life. Sorry you feel differently. After all, what are our accomplishments if we aren’t proud of them? It’s normal to fear the unknown and she was just expressing her inner most self. And origins is a fabulous company with products that are very helpful for maintaining aging skin. Please go eat a cupcake. <3
I have no problem with feeling safe and secure and also having accomplishments…I do have a problem with the assumption that you can only have it all together because you are married with a career….I also have a problem with selling a product without giving any detail as to how long you have been using it, what changes you have seen, so on and so forth…also for saying literally when it literally did not say that anywhere on the website…so how about you stuff you face with a cupcake.
I cant even read into someone’s hate comments that has to bash someone under an alias. There’s nothing wrong with being proud that you are married and a great career. Where you are reading she can only feel safe and secure through those things alone blows my mind. I really hope you have a great day because from your comments you’re just an angry soul.
There is no hate comment here! Perhaps you need to go back and re read what I wrote. Or perhaps you having a bad day and read my comment with a bad attitude. Or perhaps you are looking for validation. Who knows. The only think I do know is you can be accomplished and feel safe in any number of ways. And also it’s not cool to sell a product without giving any sort of actual review. Though props for stating the post was sponsored. Honestly it Sema to me you are creating a fuss so people will click on your site. in fact you get something out of the exchange by clicks I don’t have any stake in it at all other then j want to read content that is not just a really bad sales pitch
Finally jumping in here! I appreciate all of your feedback whether it’s positive or negative. I will say that in writing this post, I did not mean for it to seem like one needs a husband or a career to feel safe/secure. I merely meant that for me, those 2 things are very important and I feel lucky to have them.
Working for a job that I love every day has always been a top priority for me and I’ve busted my butt to make that happen.
As a side note, I do actually use this product and would never promote anything that didn’t resonate with me personally, no matter what. Period. I pride myself on being organic and real here on Lemon Stripes and I hope to continue that going forward.
Thank you all for reading and for yours support!
If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all.
Yeah I don’t think I actually said anything that terrible. And frankly if you want people to go to your sight and read your content and then click on your links and make you money, then you should give your readers a reason to do so. Its not asking a lot to say “hey you know what please give us more than 2 sentences about the product you are trying to sell” Last time I checked this was a free country and as much as she has a write to sell things to people I have as much right to call her on it!
Origins is such an excellent company. I’ve been using their clear improvement mask on and off for years. It’s one of the pricey guys I can justify buying. Having kids is wonderful and scary all at the same time. It’s amazing how it changes you for the better. Good luck on your journey! (:
