Fall Julia’s Fall Wardrobe Staples

Fall Wardrobe

By popular request, here is my annual fall wardrobe staples post. It’s pretty much the same every year with minor changes. Because a solid blazer, a classic button-down, a great pair of jeans, and cozy sweaters never go out of style!

White Button Down: There is nothing quite like the perfect white button-down. And this one is the best one IMO. It’s slightly oversized with a boyfriend fit so it doesn’t feel tight across the chest and shoulders. It looks great on its own or You can see how I wore it under a sweater here.

Fisherman Sweater: I’ve had this LL Bean fisherman sweater for going on a decade and it will never go out of style. If you’re into cardigans, this one is also incredible. Pictured above is J.Crew’s version this season.

Dudley Stephens Turtleneck: Obviously. For my DS FAQs, click here. My current favorites are Park Slope in Black Terry Fleece and Park Slope in Camel Vello Fleece.

Loafers: J.Crew sent me these loafers in a press package and I can’t get enough of them! You can see how I wore them here and here.

Plaid Blazer: I have grown a small collection of plaid blazers and just love them all. Pictured above is this one but the one I own and love most right now is this boyfriend blazer in plaid. You can see it on me here.

Masks: Coordinating masks to your lewk is the new black. I love this set of three for fall.

Jeans: I love these jeans because they’re extra stretchy (size down) and the length is perfect for my shorty short legs. Plus the raw edge hem is super cute.

Rain Jacket: I think this will forever be my favorite rain jacket. Why? It covers the butt (good to wear with leggings and rain boots) and you can cinch the waist so it wears fitted (or not). And it has a hood which is highly necessary. If you don’t like camo, it also comes in 5 solid colors.

Tee Shirt Dress: I love a long-sleeved tee shirt dress to pair with a denim jacket or cardigan and booties. This Old Navy one is super cute too!

Headband (not pictured): I forgot to put my go-to fall headband on here but I’ve been wearing it nonstop (like here and here) this season.

Over-the-Knee Boots (not pictured): Stuart Weitzman 5050 boots are a giant investment. I’ve had mine for 7 years and they are in still in great condition. You can see how I’ve worn them here and here (scroll down). I haven’t tried these personally so can’t attest to the quality but this pair is more affordable and looks very similar.

Booties (not pictured): My favorite favorite booties are Sarah Flint (they are beyond comfortable) but those, too, are a significant investment.

All of the Dudley Stephens are my staples this year haha! Also, I have the Blondo Waterproof OTK boots, and they are a good affordable option to the Stuart Weitzman ones! They come in suede and leather and they are waterproof!!
